Monarch Rest Stop

The prairie restoration at Centennial Park in Springfield, Illinois provided migratory stopover habitat for monarch butterflies moving through this fall. Blooming asters, sunflowers and goldenrod provided nectar – and much needed energy – for the long journey. The Centennial Park Prairie is owned and managed by the Springfield Park District. Slow motion sequences shot with the iPhone 6Plus.
