Join Nipper Wildlife Sanctuary next weekend for an opportunity to learn about birds, wetlands, and prairies on this beautiful 100-acre site, just west of Springfield.

Just a reminder that next Saturday, May 27, 9:00 am to noon, we are hosting a workday. The FOSV headquarters at the Gudmundson Wildlife Preserve located at 4506 Chinquipin Road, Springfield, IL 62707 is looking great! A bird feeding station, native plantings, and other improvements and additions have taken place! We need your help to continue the great transformation-from mowing to weeding to cleaning and organizing. If you have a weed whacker please bring along. This is a great opportunity to get outside and meet like-minded people!

Birds Observed at Feeder
Just a few minutes watching the feeders and listening in the yard at the Gudmundson Wildlife Sanctuary today… Northern Orioles, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Gray Catbird, Wood Thrushes, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, a Belted Kingfisher, and so much more!
