Well….yesterday was a VERY busy day and I didn’t get our Wednesday Wishes posted. So, instead, here is our Thankful Thursday!

From our previous Wednesday Wishes…Thanks to Rudin Printing for donating paper to fill our printer and to Maureen Squires for dropping by today with some house plants to adorn our headquarters!

We appreciate our friends in the community!! Thank you for supporting The Friends of the Sangamon Valley!!

Sangamon Clean-up August 26th

The annual Sangamon River Clean-up is Saturday, August 26th! Join crews working Riverton to Riverside Park, Riverside Park to Rolling Meadows, or Rolling Meadows to Erwin Bridge. Work on land or in the water. This event is coordinated by FOSV board member George Sinclair. Individuals, families, clubs, and groups are invited to help with this important and rewarding effort. Wednesday Wishes… some folks have asked how they can help the FOSV with our volunteer efforts, our daily functions, etc. Every Wednesday we post an item and/or service that we need.

We are looking for someone to sandblast our patio furniture.

Do you have any house plants or cuttings that you will share for our headquarters/office?

We can pick up or have several drop-off locations in the area. Just message us and we’ll work out the details.

Anyone interested in cleaning the gutters at our headquarters? The lovely sycamore trees make for messy gutters.

We need 8.5″ X 11″ white copy paper! Do you have a stash?
